On January 29,2002 I got to meet Aaron Carter! It was on a Tuesday and I had school that day but I begged my mom to get me out of school early. Because there was this contest my local radio station was doing. They were giving away free front row tickets and backstage passes at 2:00. So being the bestest mommy in the world LOL she got me out of school at 11:00. I told all my friends I had a dentist appointment and that i was leaving school early LOL. anyways... we got to the Pepsi Arena at 12. We were the first ones there so I decieded to see if Aaron was staying at the hotel near the arena. We walked by a few times and looked in the parking lot for a tour bus or a limo. But we had no luck. So then I wanted to see if we could go back stage behind the arena. Well we got back there alright!! There was four tour buses, a few moving trucks, and 2 trailers and a bunch of his managers and crew. They didn't seem to mind that we were back there but we didn't get too close just in case LOL. I was soo happy that I was able to get back there that I called my aunt to tell her. While I was on the cell phone with her a lady with blonde hair and a girl with long brown hair came out of the arena. I started freaking out thinking that it was Jane and Angel. I go "omg look mom..isn't that aaron's mom?" and my mom goes "she looks too young to be his mom". so i hung up with my aunt and started to follow them. They kept looking back at us a few times and started to walk faster LOL. As i got close enough I realized it really was her! Jane was wearing dark denim jeans with zippers going up the back of her calves, denim boots, a white shirt with a navy blue jacket. It was one of those suit jackets that a woman would wear at an office job. And she had a black purse too. Angel was wearing bell bottom jeans, black boots, a maroon short sleeve shirt with a black see through lacey sweater duster. And she was wearing sun glasses too. I followed them until Jane walked into a pizzaria shop next to the Arena. By this time it was around 1:00. So I'm guessing she was getting Aaron some lunch LOL. Angel didn't go into the pizzaria. Instead she walked up the front steps infront of the arena and walked in through the main doors. She walked like right next to me. She was very tall~!! I thought it was Lindsay Pagano at first, because she didn't look like Angel and at that time I didn't know what Lindsay Pagano looked like LOL. I waited outside the pizzaria for Jane to come out. And when she did she was holding two white bags with I'm guessing...pizza in them for Aaron lol. I was sitting on the steps infront of the arena talking to my sister. Jane kept looking up at me and kept smiling~!! I smiled back and when she wasn't looking i started to follow her again LOL~!! She started to walk backstage again and as soon as she turned the corner I lost her~!! Four other girls showed up with their mom. And we started talking and became friends. As we were talking my mom started freaking out LOL because Aaron's tour bus was going up the street. I started to run backstage again and this time I took the girls with me..hoping maybe we could meet Aaron. At this time I was soooo totally nervous!! Aaron's dad went to pick him up at the hotel near the arena, that i went to earlier but didnt see aaron. Aaron's dad Bob was driving the bus and he ended up taking the wrong street (Behind the arena,backstage,there's a road that leads down to the backstage entrance) and the girls' mother directed Bob to go around the block again but this time take the farest road . So he had to go all the way around the block again. When he started coming down the right road a tour manager,I'm guessing, was talking to Bob on a walkie talkie lol. I heard him say,"Now you'll go right down this road until you see the main entrance, you need to watch out, there's a few kids here you don't want to hit them." My mom told us to stand in the middle of the road to try and stop the bus so maybe Aaron would come out and meet us LOL. When we did that tour manager dude told us to get out of the street. When the bus was close enough the guy started to walk up to it and he went inside. lol I should have snuck up and went inside myself lol. Then we saw Aaron come up to the front of the bus. He took off his red hat and waved to us. I was totally freaking out because Aaron was like 3ft away from me. LOL I touched his tour bus!!! When he got to the main entrance backstage. He got out and stood outside and looked around for a little while. I yelled his name really loud and he waved a few more times. I yelled "Aaron come here!!!" and he strugged his shoulders and went inside. I was a little mad because he didn't come over to meet us. I'm guessing it was time for him to do sound check or something. He was wearing a red yankee's baseball cap which he wore backwards, a white-yellow-and purple tie die t-shirt,baggy jeans, sneakers and a grey zip up hoodie. When he got off the bus he took his hat off again..boy was his hair a mess!!!!
When it was 2:00 my local radio station came -FLY 92- I was getting soo excited because I wanted those backstage passes! Not many people were there yet. Just me my mom my sister and those girls and their mom and a few other little kids. The dj's from FLY 92 kept going in and out of the arena. They told me they were trying to get more backstage passes. I stood by the front main doors waiting for them to come out. In the mean time-while i was waiting- I thought I saw Aaron inside bouncing a basketball. So I started to freak out and bang on the doors!! He looked and smiled a few times. He was wearing a black cap backwards, an orange zip up hoodie, jeans and black sneaks. He looked just like Aaron!! He was going into the boys bathroom. When he finally came out, he was with three other guys. And they just stood in a group near us -of course we were outside and they were inside- and the kid with the black hat kept pointing at me and laughing then his friends started to laugh. He took off his hat....and you know what?!?!?! HIS HAIR WAS RED!!! it wasn't aaron, it was his back-up dancer!! And when he took it off he turned and looked at me and I was soooo mad! I started to yell" THAT WAS SOOOO NOT FUNNY DUDE!!" and he started to laugh-i guess he heard me lol-and then they walked away.
By this time there were lots of little girls and their parents there. When the djs came out they told me they had a whole bunch of backstage passes and they waved them in my face LOL I got sooo mad cuz i wanted them sooo bad! They also told me they met aaron and he was really cool. When it was time to give away the backstage passes and the front row seats all the little kids and a bunch of girls and i were crowded around the djs begging for them. I told one dj "You have to let me have those backstage passes!! I missed school today to come down here and try to win them. And i haven't missed a day of school since the second grade!!" -which was a total lie because i have missed school LOL. then they asked me my name and where i went to school and what city i was from--jeez..i hope they didnt call up my school and ask them about it LOL cuz that would suck!! Then they two djs went and talked in private..and when they came back --ok this is the best part!!! The really hott dj -John Foxx- he took my hand and said "Your coming with me" I go are you serious and he goes yep..do you want the front row seats or backstage passes. And of course i said backstage passes because I already had front row (but not on the floor--on the side)I still have my backstage pass.It was a red and white sticker thingy. and it has a pic of aaron on it and it says Meet n Greet pass Aaron's Winter Party 1-29-02. My sister got a backstage pass too and so did one of the girls i was talking about earlier--her name is Nikki. We had to go through major security before we went in!! We had to go through three metal detectors and there was a lady there checking purses if we had any. The security was so high probably becuz of 9-11-01 ya know?!?
Here's the good part-- here's where i finally meet AARON CARTER! We had to wait in line inside for probably about 10minutes or so. John Foxx came in with us and stood behind me in line. We were talking about Aaron. And I asked if Aaron was really tall and he goes nahh probably about an inch or two taller than you--I'm 5'6 LOL. Then I asked if he was nice and how many pix I could have taken with him. When Aaron finally walked in I was soooo excited!! You could go up one or two at a time to meet him. While Aaron was signing autographs he looked up to see how mnay people there were--there was probably about 30 people. And when he looked up my sister waved to him and he smiled and waved back! It was adorable! When it was my turn to go up..the security guard told me i could only take one or two pictures and one autograph and then i had to go. I decided to go up with my sister..that way i could be with Aaron longer lol. When the security guard said we could go up next I got real nervous for a second then i told myself to calm down and i started to sing Shakira's Whenever Wherever in my head lol. Hey it calmed me down!!!LOL I walked up to him and said "Hi" and he said"Hi" and we shook hands. I handed him a piece of paper--cuz he didnt have anything to sign like a pic of him or something so i had to get a piece of paper from another girl in line LOL-- while he was signing my piece of paper I asked him "Can you sign my ticket too?" and he goes "yeah sure!!" and i go "Thanx" and he goes "No problem!" then while he was signing my ticket i asked"Do you think I could have a hug?!?" lol i was sooo nervous when i asked him that. and he goes "Of course" so lolol this was the best part!! He put his right arm around my neck and hugged me --i put both of my arms around his upper torso lol. I didn't let go for quite awhile!! I was in heaven lol I closed my eyes while i hugged him!! He only hugged me with one arm though--my sister later told me he almost got pen on me and he didn't want to do that lol. Then i asked him"Hey do you remember me from earlier..i waved to you when you were getting off of your tour bus?" and he stopps what he was doing and he looks into my eyes and he goes "Oh yeah I remember you guys!"--meaning my sister and me LOL. Then it was time for a picture!! My sister took the pic. Aaron came up and stood next to me..he put his left arm around my waist and put his head like right next to mine ..seriously..our heads were touching!! And I rested my head next to his and I put my right arm on his back.Luckily..my sister couldn't get the camera to work for some odd reason!! LOL we stood in that position for quite a long time!!! He started laughing when it wouldn't work. And when it finally did we both go "Finally" lol it was sooo cute...he looks at me and says "Jinx" and starts laughing. Then he turns to my sister and asks "Whats her name?" and she goes "Kristin" and he says "ok..I'll be nice and un-jinx you!" so he says my name twice and he pauses and starts laughing and he says it one more time. and i said "Thanks" and we both start laughing. The he drops his pen right in front of my shoe!! I got sooo embarrassed because it was like right there LOL. He looked at it then i looked at it..then he looked at me then he looked back at it. I'm guessing he was expecting me to pick it up. lol how stupid and rude was i?! I didn't pick it up!! He had to. He bent down a really odd way and picked it up. I felt sooo bad and embarrassed! Anyways..Then his security guard says to me "So your here to see dreamstreet?" And i go "NO! Aaron" and i point at aaron --by this time he's signing an autograph for my sister. and he looks at me and he starts to laugh. then his security guard goes "So you're here to see Aaron huh? who do you like better dremstreet or aaron?" and i go "Aaron of course!!" and aaron smiles at me and i smile back. then his security guard goes "your just saying that because aaron's right here..we all know you love dreamstreet better" and then aaron goes "shut up dude...she likes me not dreamstreet! right?" and i go "yup, i dont really like dremstreet that much!" and aaron goes to his body guard "HA told you!" and we all start laughing. Then my sister goes "I like backstreet boys! I like AJ the best" and aaron goes "It all runs in the family!"--I still dont understand that but o-well!! Then it was time to go. I said "Bye, thanks Aaron!" And he goes "Bye Kristin!" omg i still cannot believe i met him!! We talked for about 12 minutes!! But it went by tooo fast! I LOVE YOU AARON!!!
